Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers

Russell Evans of Plant City, Fla., played quarterback for the Rangers and was named the NJCAA Player of the Year in 1992, while leading the Rangers to a perfect record of 13-0 and the NJCAA National Championship.
     
He was a two-time All-Region XXIII and MACJC All-State selection, and still holds school career passing records in yardage, attempts, and completions,
     
He played at Bethel College and was named NAIA Player of the Week in 1994. He spent one year playing in the Canadian Football League.
