Don Randolph of Potts Camp accepted a scholarship to attend college and play basketball at Northwest after graduating from Potts Camp High School.

While at Northwest, he was a member of the basketball team and was named All-State both years. He also was chosen as one of 20 players in the United States to participate in the All-American Basketball Game in 1961. He ranked fifth scholastically in his class and was voted one of the most preferred men on campus.

Randolph accepted a basketball scholarship to the University of Memphis and lettered two years. He participated in the National Basketball Invitational Tournament in 1961 and the NCAA Tournament in 1962.

He served as superintendent of the Marshall County School District until his retirement in 2011.

Randolph was inducted into the MACJC Sports Hall of Fame in April 2011.
