163 Student-Athletes Selected to Spring 2025 Athletic Director's Honor Roll

Softball achieves highest team GPA; 11 teams finish with 3.0 GPAs or better

SENATOBIA - A total of 163 Northwest student-athletes have been named to the Spring 2025 Athletic Director's Honor Roll, the college's athletic department announced on Wednesday.

Compiled by athletic director Jake Gordon and academic advisors Tori Fugatt and Charlesy Kennedy, the list honors all student-athletes that have accomplished a 3.0 grade point average or higher, with a minimum of 12 hours earned. The list also recognizes overall team GPAs, as well as those student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA for the semester.

Of the 163 student-athletes to be honored, the Ranger football team sported 28 selections to the honor roll, followed closely by 24 selections from baseball. The Northwest softball program also had all 20 of its enrolled student-athletes finish with a 3.0 GPA or better, followed by 17 selections from women's soccer and 16 from the men's soccer program.

A total of 10 student-athletes from the men's golf team also made the honor roll, followed by all nine members of both the men's and women's tennis teams. Volleyball and women's basketball also finished with eight selections each, with rodeo (7), men's basketball (4) and women's golf (3) rounding out the Spring 2025 list.

Additionally, a total of 57 student-athletes finished with 4.0 GPAs for the semester, led by 12 from softball and nine from women's soccer. Eight members of the Northwest baseball also finished with a 4.0 or higher.

In team GPAs, the Northwest softball team finished with an impressive 3.85 GPA, one-tenth of a point away from the 3.86 GPA the team recorded in the fall. Men's tennis was not far behind with a 3.80 GPA for the spring semester, followed by a 3.78 mark from the women's tennis squad.

Overall, 11 teams finished with a 3.0 GPA or better, with women's golf earning a 3.57 semester mark, followed by baseball (3.56), football (3.55), men's golf (3.46), men's soccer (3.33), volleyball (3.26) and women's basketball (3.03).

A list of student-athletes on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll can be found below, sorted by sport. The President's and Vice President's lists for the fall semester will be released in the coming weeks.
