SENATOBIA - The Northwest Mississippi Community College volleyball team picked up their first MACCC Player of the Week after a strong week on the net for sophomore Ariana Woods. 

The Walls, Mississippi native finished the week with four solo blocks and 12 block assists for a total of 10 points from the net alone. She added three aces and five digs to help the Rangers to a 4-0 week with wins over Williams Baptist (JV), Coahoma Community College, Highland Community College (KS), and Snead State Community College. 

Woods is coming off a freshman season in which she was named to the All-MACCC First Team and has been off to a quick start in 2026, already tallying 15 aces and 30 total blocks, with seven solo on the early season. She has also been a weapon on the offensive side of the ball with 89 kills and is hitting above .350 after nine matches.
