Lady Rangers Hold at No. 10 Following Off Week

Northwest to face fifth-ranked Jones College in conference opener

CHARLOTTE - After a week of well-deserved rest, the Northwest Lady Rangers remain firm at No. 10 in the latest batch of NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer rankings, released Monday afternoon.

Northwest (4-0) is one of three teams from the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference ranked within the top 10. Holmes moved up a spot to No. 4 in the rankings, followed by fifth-ranked Jones College. East Central and Pearl River round out MACCC representation, ranked 13th and 16th, respectively.

Arizona rivals Pima and Phoenix College top the national rankings at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, followed by third-ranked Heartland (Ill.).

Northwest will face a tough test to begin conference competition, as the Lady Rangers square off against No. 5 Jones in Ellisville Friday evening. The match is scheduled for a 5 P.M. start time and live stats coverage will be available here. Broadcast details have yet to be determined by Jones College.
