Northwest Announces 2013-14 Cheerleading Squad

SENATOBIA – The Northwest cheerleading program held its annual tryout for the 2013-14 squad and out of 38 people who tried out 22 were selected to the team.

"This year's squad is hands down the most athletic and talented we've seen in years," cheer sponsor and coach Liesl Davenport said. "We have very good representation from all over north Mississippi to include some outstanding local talent."

Open practices began in February, clinics began in March and the tryout and selection concluded at the end of April. All together, it's about a two month process and very competitive.

Northwest will hold its first practice with their new squad on Saturday, May 4.
