FULTON – The All-Tournament Team has been announced for the Itawamba Cross Over Tournament, and Northwest Mississippi Community College had a pair of hitters make the final list.

Ariana Woods was off to a torrid start to the year, finishing the tournament with 47 kills, all while hitting at a .293 clip. She was also a rock at the net, coming up with ten total blocks, including one solo. It makes it back-to-back years that the sophomore was able to impress at the opening tournament of the year after also making the All-Tournament Team in 2025.

Woods had double-digit kills in every match and added multiple aces, including four in one match.

Joining her was freshman standout Sofia Gonzalez. The freshman from Lake Cormorant comes into the year with high expectations and lived up to the hype of being a six-rotation player, finishing the weekend with 45 kills while adding 44 digs and two blocks.

Gonzalez really established herself in the second match of the tournament, piling up 21 kills for a new career-high mark against Northwest Shoals Community College.

Northwest keeps their season action rolling tonight with a trip to Williams Baptist University, where they will face off against the JV team for the Eagles, with the opening serve scheduled for 6:00 PM.
