SENATOBIA – It's a busy week for former Northwest football players kicking off with some Tuesday action between Saveon Freeman's New Mexico State and Liberty with the Flames coming away with a narrow 30-27 win.
A slew of ranked teams continue to feature NWCC alumni starting with #5 Ole Miss traveling to Georgia for a game between the hedges with Tavion Prather (DL) and Macaleb Taylor (RB) suiting up for the Rebels.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders continue to climb up the rankings to #7 and Davion Carter (OL) will look to help them earn a win over Arizona State.
Back in the SEC, Stephen Hall (DB) and the #16 Missouri Tigers look to bounce back against Auburn in the nightcap at 6:45 pm in Alabama. Also, in Alabama and closing out the Rangers who are ranked at the FBS level in competition this week are the #22 Memphis Tiger who pit Rayyan Buell (DL), Sam Brumfield (LB), and Tanner Gillis (P/K) against UAB at 3:00 pm.
At the FCS level, Caulen Dunn (LB) and the Indiana State Sycamores take on the top ranked North Dakota State Bison to kick off the day at noon in Indiana.
In all, a total of 44 former Northwest football student-athletes will suit up for FBS and FCS programs this weekend.
