JACKSON - For the fourth time this season and the 10th time in her collegiate career, Northwest women's soccer sophomore Anna Kathryn Harrell has earned MACCC Goalkeeper of the Week honors, the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference announced Tuesday morning.

Nominations and voting are done by the sports information directors at each conference institution.

In the Lady Rangers' regular season finale against Meridian last Tuesday, Harrell posted her fifth shutout of the season, despite not collecting any saves in her 62 minutes of action. For the season, the Tupelo, Miss. native has 43 saves with just eight goals allowed for an .843 save percentage.

Harrell also already holds the program's single-season and career records for goalkeeper victories and shutouts, further widening the gap in both categories throughout the year.

Northwest finished the regular season with a 16-0 overall record and an 11-0 mark in conference play. The Lady Rangers have also held on to the NJCAA's No. 1 national ranking throughout the season, and have clinched the top seed in this week's NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.

Northwest will open postseason competition on Thursday against fourth-seeded Itawamba at 11 A.M. The winner of that match will be pitted against the winner of Holmes-Pearl River on Saturday, November 9. All tournament matches are being hosted by Jones College.
