SENATOBIA - Inclement weather conditions and prolonged lightning halted Tuesday afternoon's men's soccer match between Northwest and Southern Union State.
Southern Union State led the match 3-0 when play was halted in the 65th minute of the match. The Bison had scored one goal in the first half and had just added another goal shortly before the weather delay went into effect.
Because the match did not at least reach the 70th minute, the match was declared a "no contest" by rule. Northwest remains 0-1 on the season, while Southern Union State sits at 3-1 overall.
Northwest will return to the pitch on Sunday, September 10 against Mineral Area College at 3 P.M. Admission is free and the match will be carried on Ranger TV (
