Box Score RAYMOND - An intense conference match went in favor of Northwest on Friday evening, as the Rangers delivered a 2-1 victory against Hinds, thanks to a pair of goals from
Matt Roth.
Roth scored his first goal in the 27th minute, helping Northwest head to the halftime break with the 1-1 tie. Roth would then add the game-winner in the 68th minute, as the Rangers locked down on defense the rest of the way.
Hinds' lone goal came off a penalty kick by Jedin Lee in the 16th minute. Later in the first half, another Eagles' penalty kick attempt was denied.
Hinds out-shot Northwest 16-10, but the gap was trimmed to 10-6 in shots on-goal.Â

Will Thompson earned nine saves, posting his second win of the season.
With the victory, Northwest improved to 2-6 on the season and 2-3 in the MACCC. Hinds dropped to 5-2-3 overall and 2-1-2 in conference play.
