CHARLOTTE - After receiving nods to the NJCAA All-Region 23 team a couple weeks ago, Northwest goalkeeper Anna Kathryn Harrell and sophomore defender Raylin Dixon have also been chosen for NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer All-America Team, the national organization announced on Tuesday morning.

A First Team All-American selection, Harrell shattered nearly every previous single-season and career record set by Northwest goalkeepers. The Tupelo native collected 19 wins on the season with 18 shutouts posted, including one in the national tournament against Rock Valley College. Harrell also recorded 71 saves on the season, while allowing only five goals.

Harrell also earned MACCC Goalkeeper of the Week honors an unprecedented six times throughout the season, while also being named NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week twice. She also was named to the NJCAA Division II All-Tournament team early last week.

A second team selection, Dixon was once again the anchor of one of the best defensive units in the country. The Northwest back line allowed just five goals all season, one of the lowest totals in the NJCAA Division II ranks, while Dixon herself also added three assists on the season and the game-winning goal in the Lady Rangers' regular season finale at Pearl River.

Though Northwest has had several student-athletes earn national academic honors by the NJCAA over recent years, Dixon and Harrell make up only the fourth and fifth NJCAA All-Americans in program history. The duo joins Gena Gutierrez (2004), Elyse Lovelace (2006) and most recently, Jennifer Enriquez (2022). For her part, Harrell is only the second Lady Ranger ever selected for first team honors.
