JACKSON - Just before the start of Tuesday afternoon's match against East Mississippi, the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference named Northwest freshman Anna Kathryn Harrell as the MACCC Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week.

It marked the second weekly conference honor for Harrell, who also was selected on September 12. The Tupelo native also earned NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week earlier last month.

Harrell went 2-0 in last week's wins against Mississippi Gulf Coast and Hinds, recording both of her saves in the Lady Rangers' 7-0 rout of Hinds. She improved to 11-0-0 between the posts and has 29 saves with a .967 save percentage.

Ranked third in the NJCAA Division II Women's Soccer polls, Northwest (13-0, 6-0 MACCC) will host top-ranked Holmes in a highly-anticipated matchup on Friday. Northwest has not beaten the Lady Bulldogs since October 17, 2014, and the two teams have tied in each of the last three meetings.

Kickoff for Friday's match is slated for 1 P.M. in Senatobia. Live coverage will be provided on Ranger TV.
