Box Score ELLISVILLE - Three second half goals turned a 2-0 deficit into a 5-0 loss for Northwest in Friday evening's conference-opener at No. 6 Jones College.

Northwest fell to 1-4 on the season with the loss, while the Bobcats improved to 4-0 and 1-0 in conference play.

Jones quickly began firing off shots from the opening whistle, but the Rangers successfully kept the Bobcats off the board for the first nine minutes of the contest. Denim Lombard finally snuck one by Northwest in the 10th minute, thanks to an assist from Taylor Richardson, as Jones gained the early lead.

Although Northwest was unable to get shots off in the first half, the Rangers remained within striking distance. Other than Yussef Hakmaoui's goal in the 26th minute, Northwest held the Bobcats scoreless over the rest of the half.

Richardson's goal in the 57th minute helped the Bobcats pull away and back-to-back goals in the 72nd minute pushed Jones to a sizable 5-0 advantage.

Northwest will make the trip to Decatur on Tuesday, September 20 for another MACCC battle against the Warriors. The match is slated for a 7 P.M. start time, with live coverage available on ecccathletics.com.
