JACKSON - Sophomore defender Luis Cosme capped off his Northwest career by earning Honorable Mention All-MACCC recognition, the conference announced on Wednesday morning.

Cosme, who was selected First Team All-MACCC last season, was the only Northwest men's player selected for postseason honors by the conference. The Toa Alta, Puerto Rico native played in nine matches this season, scoring two of the team's four goals in the Rangers' only conference victory against Meridian on October 18.

For the season, Cosme took six shots, including four on-goal. Throughout his career, he finished with four goals and logged nearly 2,400 minutes of playing time over a span of 34 matches.

Northwest finished the season at 2-12 overall but played in several close matches, including narrow losses to Belhaven, Hinds and 18th-ranked Copiah-Lincoln.
