SENATOBIA - With the college football season now at its halfway point, things are starting to heat up across the board for Division I FBS programs.
Many teams are now playing for bowl eligibility, with some even eyeing a bid to their respective conference championship games. Those ingredients make for some exciting games on this week's schedule, including some matchups featuring Northwest alumni.
A total of 23 Rangers are in action for FBS programs this weekend, with many more suiting up at the FCS level, such as
Michael Hiers (Samford) and Monterio Hunt (Alcorn State). A full list of Northwest players at the four-year level can be found

This week's docket actually begins on Thursday, as Anterrious Gray and Quentin Wilfawn suit up for South Alabama's Sun Belt showdown against Troy. That game kicks off at 6:30 P.M. on ESPNU.
Other notable matchups include a Saturday night showdown between two nationally-ranked opponents, TCU and Kansas State, featuring former Northwest defensive lineman Robert Hentz II. Navy and Houston will also battle it out early on Saturday, with Jayce Rogers looking to make more magic happen for the Cougars.
