SENATOBIA - A slew of former Rangers will once again showcase their talents on the Division I stage this fall, as college football season officially kicks off this weekend.

Twenty-seven Northwest football alumni are suiting up for FBS teams this weekend, while several others will compete across the FCS, Division II and NAIA levels.

A handful of matchups will pit former Rangers against each other, including a highly-anticipated Labor Day matchup between Ole Miss and Louisville in Atlanta, a game that includes Reese's Senior Bowl watch list selection Tariqious Tisdale and his defensive teammate Hal Northern against receiver Braden Smith and the Cardinals' offense.

Another intriguing matchup for Northwest fans will feature Southern Miss against South Alabama, a game that will feature seven former Rangers suiting up for the Golden Eagles and Jaguars.
