Tariqious Tisdale Selected to NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

Game to be held on January 29 in Pasadena, Calif.

PASADENA, Calif. - Northwest alumnus and Ole Miss defensive lineman Tariqious Tisdale will get a chance to showcase his talents at next month's NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, the organization announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Founded in 2012 by the National Football League Players Association, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl gives prospective players the best opportunity to showcase their talents to potential employers and fans. Nearly 200 scouts, player personnel staff, general managers and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams are expected be in attendance to watch live practices, conduct player interviews and review tape.

Tisdale played in only five games for Ole Miss in 2021, collecting eight tackles and one tackle-for-loss. However, the 6-foot-5, 290-pound defensive lineman has been a consistent force for the Rebels dating back to his sophomore season in 2018, where he made 33 tackles while appearing in all 12 games.

As a junior in 2019, Tisdale became a regular in the Rebels' defensive cast, playing in all 12 games and earning 28 total tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss and two sacks. During the 2020 campaign, the Lexington, Tenn. native battled injuries but earned four starts in six games, earning 19 total tackles.

Throughout his Ole Miss career, Tisdale earned recognition to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List ahead of the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Off the field, he was a four-time selection to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and a two-time SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll selection.

Prior to Ole Miss, Tisdale played in 11 contests and earned five starts during his lone season with Northwest in 2017. His 31 total tackles, five sacks and 11 tackles-for-loss helped the Rangers to an 8-3 overall record and a MACJC North Division title.

Practices and other events leading up to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl begin on January 24 in Pasadena, with the game scheduled for January 29 at the historic Rose Bowl Stadium. The showcase has helped launch the careers of several NFL starts including Denico Autry (DL; Tennessee Titans), Tarik Cohen (RB/KR; Chicago Bears), Josh Lambo (Kicker; Jacksonville Jaguars) and numerous others.

No television details have been finalized for the game, but viewers are encouraged to check their local cable listings.
