Four to Represent Northwest in MACCC All-Star Game

SENATOBIA - Although the regular season has come to an end, four members of the Northwest women's soccer team will get one final chance to represent the Lady Rangers in the upcoming MACCC All-Star game.

Held annually at Freedom Ridge Park in Ridgeland, this year's match is scheduled for Saturday, November 13 at 12 P.M. and will feature some of the best student-athletes from around the conference, including Northwest representatives Ally Bailey, Tori Dronet, Jessica Jaimes and Maggie Olive.

In her three seasons with the Lady Rangers, Bailey cemented her legacy in the program's record books, finishing tied for second in career assists (19), just one behind teammate and all-time program leader Jennifer Enriquez. The Olive Branch native and Lewisburg High School product also finished fourth in several other career categories, including goals scored (27), goals per game (0.59), points (73)and points per game (1.58).

Bailey's final season was her best one from a statistical standpoint, doubling her season goals from seven in 2020 to 14 this year. Her 14 goals now rank eighth in a single-season, while her nine assists are tied for fourth with teammate Molly Rose. Her 1.95 points per game in 2021 also rank fourth in the single-season record books, while her 0.74 goals per game are good for sixth in a single-season.

After spending her first two seasons at Southwest Mississippi, Dronet's lone season with Northwest resulted in her becoming one of the Lady Rangers' primary reserves. The D'Iberville native played in 18 of the Lady Rangers' 19 matches, earning five starts and scoring her lone goal in the season-opener against Blue Mountain.

Another key reserve for the Lady Rangers was Jessica Jaimes, who drew three starts in 15 matches played. The Olive Branch native concludes her Northwest career with 26 total matches played and one assist in a Labor Day victory against St. Charles.

Patrolling the box in three seasons as the Lady Rangers' primary goalkeeper, Olive ends her Northwest career ranking third all-time in saves (251) with an 18-14-1 career record. Her 11-2 record in 2021 is the program's new single-season goalkeeper record, surpassing the previous best of 10-4-4 by Ashley Nelson in 2014, and her 6.97 saves per game rank third all-time.

Olive, another Olive Branch native, also ranks eighth in career save percentage (.780) and sixth in goals against average (2.40).

Northwest finished the 2021 season with its best record in program history, 15-3-1 and earned a second place finish in the MACCC North Division. The Lady Rangers were a mainstay in the NJCAA Division II records nearly all season, peaking at No. 11 overall.
