SENATOBIA - Northwest sophomore defender
Molly Rose will continue her talents on the four-year level next season after signing with Georgia State University on Thursday morning.
"I am excited to continue my soccer career at Georgia State," Rose said. "I cannot thank Coach Beattie enough for all that he has done for me. He really took me under his wing before the start of last season and I have to give all the credit to him."
Rose is the first Division I signee for Northwest coach

A two-time MACCC First Team selection, Rose helped Northwest to 21 wins in her two seasons with the Lady Rangers, including a program-best 15-3-1 overall record and an appearance in the MACCC Semifinals this year.
An athletic defender and score, Rose finished with nine goals and nine assists during her sophomore season, wrapping up the 2021 campaign as the Lady Rangers' fourth-leading scorer. For her career, the Memphis native earned 15 goals and 13 assists, ranking just outside the program's top 10 career records in goals scored while finishing fifth all-time in assists.
Away from the pitch, Rose also performed well in the classroom, earning Distinguished Academic All-MACCC and first team NJCAA All-Academic honors, as well as a nod to the President's List for the spring 2021 semester.
"If I was a Division I coach, I would absolutely take her," Beattie said, on Rose. "Molly is everything you want in a Division I player. She's someone that can play all over the field and she's also a fantastic person."
Georgia State finished the fall season with a 9-4-7 overall record, with six of the Lady Panthers' draws coming against conference competition. The Lady Panthers earned a 2-1 overtime win against Appalachian State in the Sun Belt Conference Championship tournament, before falling to South Alabama in the following round.
