Box Score WESSON - A 3-0 deficit was too much for Northwest to overcome on Friday, as the Rangers dropped a 3-1 decision to the Wolves on Friday afternoon.

Both teams battled in a scoreless draw for most of the first half, before Co-Lin got on the board with a Jared Thompson goal in the 36th minute.

One minute into the second half, the Wolves struck again off a goal from Matt Preston, increasing the Rangers' deficit to 2-0. Eli Harrist added another one for Co-Lin in the 59th minute, pushing the lead to 3-0.

Northwest would finally get on the board later in the second half with Hart Smith's goal in the 62nd minute, but the Rangers were unable to cut any further into the Wolves' lead.

With the loss, Northwest fell to 2-7 on the season. The Rangers are slated to take on Belhaven on Monday, October 4 at 5:30 P.M., before returning to the home pitch to host Southwest Mississippi at 3 P.M. on Friday, October 8.
