Box Score WESSON - Less than two minutes into the Lady Rangers' first overtime action of the season, Northwest freshman Jennifer Enriquez hit the game-winner to seal a gritty 2-1 victory at Copiah-Lincoln on Friday afternoon. 

With the win, 13th-ranked Northwest earned its 10th victory of the season, reaching the milestone for the first time since an 11-6 finish during the 2017 campaign. The Lady Rangers previously finished with 10 or more wins just four times in program history (2004, 2006, 2014, 2017).

It took until the 27th minute for either team to get on the scoreboard, but it was the Lady Rangers that would wind up striking first. Set up by a corner kick from Enriquez, Molly Rose tapped in the goal for her sixth goal of the season and Enriquez' 14th assist.

Despite a barrage of shots throughout the second half (including two that ricocheted off the crossbar), Northwest was unable to extend its narrow 1-0 advantage. As a result, Co-Lin broke through in the 77th minute, tying the match at 1-1 off a goal from Alana Dear.

Both teams tried to break the deadlock over the final 20 minutes and change remaining in regulation, but several shot attempts were unsuccessful, ultimately resulting in overtime and the golden goal from Enriquez.

Northwest will return home this week for a pair of matches against Dyersburg State on Tuesday, October 5 and Southwest Mississippi on Friday, October 8. Both are slated for 1 P.M. start times at the Senatobia Sports Park and broadcasts will be available for both on Ranger TV (nwccrangers.com/watch).
