SENATOBIA – Northwest women's basketball coach Troy Howell has announced his fall slate of exhibition dates.

All four games will be held in October, starting with a home affair against Rust College on Friday, October 9 at 1 p.m. From there, the Lady Rangers will travel to Blue Mountain College on Saturday, October 17 for a 1 p.m. tipoff.

Northwest is then slated to host ASU Mid-South on Saturday, October 24 at 1 p.m. before repaying the Lady Greyhounds with a visit to West Memphis, Ark. on Saturday, October 31 at 1 p.m.

Northwest is coming off a stellar 2019-20 season that saw the Lady Rangers post a 17-10 overall record and a runner-up finish in the NJCAA Region 23 championship in Howell's first season at the helm. Four players from last season's squad signed to the four-year level, led by the duo of Lindsay Hall and Mallory Russell (Blue Mountain), along with Kayla Freeman and Tamarah Sykes (Mississippi College).

Morgan Hodum is the only returning sophomore off last season's squad but the Lady Rangers welcome a bright freshman class that includes a trio of out-of-state talents Tierra Trotter (Bryant, Ark.), Nylah Ballard (Adamsville, Ala.) and Curenity Emerson (Ruston, La.).

Northwest will also welcome the local duo of Nariah Alexander and Presley Kate Hansford, both of whom helped lead Senatobia to the 2019-20 MHSAA Class 3A state title last March.
