Sycamore Bank Ranger Hour to Debut on SuperTalk North Mississippi

SENATOBIA – Following an announcement that aired Thursday from Northwest Mississippi Community College President Dr. Michael J. Heindl, SuperTalk North Mississippi (WTNM 93.7 FM) will launch the Sycamore Bank Ranger Hour beginning Thursday, August 13.

"We are excited to be able to have this opportunity to showcase all areas of Northwest Mississippi Community College through the new Ranger Hour show on SuperTalk North Mississippi," Heindl said in a statement. "As the title sponsor of the Ranger Hour, we would like to thank Sycamore Bank for their continued support of Northwest Mississippi Community College."

Airing every Thursday from 9-10 a.m., the Sycamore Bank Ranger Hour will feature a wide variety of guests from administration, faculty, staff, athletics and other special guests that will discuss the latest news and events occurring across all campuses.

"SuperTalk North Mississippi is proud to partner with Northwest Mississippi Community College and we are thankful to Sycamore Bank for making this possible," WTNM general manager Rick Mize said. "This fits our footprint well, as nearly every area we touch either has a Northwest campus or at least has plenty of students and alumni, so we are excited to be able to tell the story of Northwest on our station every week."

Gary Darby, a Northwest alumnus and current host of "North Mississippi Spotlight" and "Building Our Future" radio programs, will host the program each week. A well-known broadcasting veteran in north Mississippi and beyond, Darby has also done previous work for Ole Miss athletics, MaxxSouth Sports and served as host of the pregame and postgame shows on the Memphis Grizzlies radio network from 2011-2019.

Sycamore Bank will serve as the title sponsor of the program, continuing a decades-long relationship with Northwest. Founded in 1900 and based in Senatobia, Sycamore Bank operates branches in Tate and DeSoto counties and a loan office in Oxford.
