SENATOBIA – Northwest sophomore Angel Hailey has been selected as the MACJC Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced Tuesday morning.

A native of Southaven, Hailey set a new season-high of 16 saves in a 2-2 double overtime draw against Southwest Tennessee last Tuesday. This came just one match after she set a previous season-high of 15 saves in a loss to Holmes the week prior.

Hailey's 16 saves against Southwest Tennessee was just one shy of her career record of 17, which came last season in a playoff upset of Pearl River in the MACJC Quarterfinals.

Through nine matches, the Southaven High product has 96 saves in 683 minutes of action, leading the MACJC and ranking fourth nationally.

Northwest (3-5-1, 1-3 north division) will return to action against St. Louis on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. Live stats will be provided through nwccrangers.com.
