CHARLOTTE – After a 59-16 road victory over Mississippi Delta last week, the Rangers held steady at No. 5 for a second straight week in the NJCAA Top 20 Football Poll released Tuesday.

The NJCAA Top 5 remained the same, with East Mississippi (11), Iowa Western (6), Snow and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in front of the Rangers.

Northwest (3-0, 1-0 MACJC North) put up 50 points in back-to-back weeks for the first time since 2000 and is outscoring opponents 138-46 through the first three games.

Dating back to the Rangers' 2015 NJCAA National Championship run, Northwest has now been ranked in 44 consecutive polls, with 41 of those weeks spent within the Top 10.

Northwest boasts a Top 10 offense in the nation at 499.3 yards per game and a Top 15 defense, yielding 250 yards per game.

The unbeaten Rangers travel to Copiah-Lincoln Thursday, Sept. 20 for a 7 p.m. kickoff in Wesson.
