SENATOBIA – Northwest mourns the passing of longtime employee and golf coach, Guy Purdy.

Purdy started at Northwest in 1995 as a Workforce Development Coordinator, responsible for planning, supervising and implementing workforce training programs for local business and industry. After spending six years in that role, he then became the Director of Adult Basic Education where he served for 16 years and retired in June 2015.

Purdy spent eight seasons as an assistant coach with the Northwest men's golf team from 2010-17, where the Rangers were nationally-ranked in six of his eight seasons by the NJCAA and GolfStat.com and sent five golfers to the NJCAA National Tournament.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10 from 5-8 p.m. and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 2 p.m. at Getwell Church located at 7875 Getwell Road in Southaven.
