SENATOBIA – Sophomore midfielder
Alayna Brechin will continue her women's soccer career at the four-year level, signing with first-year program Mississippi University for Women (MUW).
"I have enjoyed coaching Alayna these past two years," Lady Ranger head coach
Levi Nunnally said. "She is a team player and showed up every day giving her best effort to get better and to make the team better. I wish her all the best at The W and know she will be able to contribute to their program like she has here at Northwest."
Brechin saw action in 18 career games as a reserve midfielder, helping the Lady Rangers to 13 combined wins and an MACJC Playoff Semifinal berth as a sophomore.
Prior to Northwest, Brechin served as team captain at Hernando High School and led the team in assists her senior year. She garnered several individual honors, including a two-time selection as Midfielder of the Year, Heart of a Tiger award and an All-Star selection.
Brechin will be one of six Lady Rangers playing at a four-year school next season.
