SENATOBIA – Sophomore all-conference and all-star midfielder/defender Madison Thrasher has decided to continue her women's soccer career at Delta State University.

"I've really enjoyed having Madison at Northwest," head coach Levi Nunnally said. "She is willing to do anything for the team and program and made really big strides as a player from her freshman to sophomore year. I'm excited to see her play for Delta State and I believe she is ready for the Division II level. I wish her all the best moving forward academically and athletically."

Thrasher was a force to be reckoned with in the backfield for two seasons at Northwest, helping the Lady Rangers to 11 shutouts and one of the largest turnarounds in program history from two to 11 wins.

The New Hope product played in 28 career games at Northwest, starting in 26, and scored her first three collegiate goals this season, including the game-winner in Northwest's season-opening 3-0 win over Meridian.

Off the field, Thrasher was a 2016-17 MACJC All-Academic Team selection and two-time member of Northwest's Dean's List. She'll also be an academic all-conference selection this semester.
