DECATUR – After a relatively quiet first half from both teams, Northwest was outshot 18-3 by East Central in the second half as the Rangers fell 4-0 on Friday afternoon.
ECCC improved to 3-1-1 overall, 2-0-1 in division play, while Northwest dropped to 1-3-1 overall and 0-2 in the north.
Both teams took a combined five shots in the first half before the Warriors unleashed an aggressive second half attack.
Tanner Lindsey got East Central on the board first in the 48th minute, thanks to a pass from Jacob Thomas. ECCC followed with a pair of goals from Francisco Romero in the 71st and 80th minutes before adding one more from Thomas in the 83rd minute that put the game out of reach.
East Central finished ahead 22-4 in the final shot count, 16-1 on goal.

Carson Tackett collected 12 saves in the loss for Northwest.
Weather permitting, Northwest will travel to Itawamba on Wednesday, Sept. 13 for a 4 p.m. kick in Fulton.
