JACKSON – Northwest freshman goalkeeper Carson Tackett has earned recognition on the 2017 All-MACJC Men's Soccer Team, the conference office announced recently.

A native of Flowood, Tackett started in 11 of the 12 contests for the Rangers this season, logging over 1,000 minutes of action between the posts.

The Northwest Rankin product finished his freshman campaign with 116 saves, good for fifth-most in the NJCAA.

Tackett received MACJC and NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week honors following a 2-1 overtime victory at Holmes in early October, where he collected nine saves and allowed just one goal.
