JACKSON – Northwest freshman Harlie Ray has been recognized for her outstanding play during the 2016 soccer season, as the Olive Branch native was named All-MACJC on Thursday.

"Harlie did a fantastic job for us this season," Nunnally said. "She was brought in to be an outside midfielder, and due to injuries, we had to move her to the back. She had a great attitude about it and was willing to do anything to get the job done. As a result, she wound up really stepping up, playing her heart out and being a huge part of our defense."

Ray started in all 12 games for Northwest this season and took five shots-on-goal, with her lone goal coming in a 2-1 loss at Southwest Mississippi early in the season.

Prior to Northwest, Ray scored 56 goals in four years at Lewisburg High School, helping lead the Lady Patriots to a 15-4 record as a senior and the 2014-15 district championship.
