BOONEVILLE – Freshman kicker/punter Drake McCarter has been selected the MACJC Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in the Rangers' 48-6 win over Northeast last Thursday.

The weekly conference honor is McCarter's third of the season. He also earned NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week honors back on Sept. 21.

McCarter made good on 2-of-4 field goal attempts, connected on all six point after attempts and averaged 44.5 yards per punt with three inside the 20 yard line and a long of 53 against Northeast.

The Saltillo native is now 11-for-21 on the season in field goals and 34-for-37 in PATs. He's also averaging 38.3 yards per punt on 50 attempts with 20 inside the 20 (2nd in NJCAA) and five of 50-plus yards.
