Rangers Throttle Wolfpack 8-0

WESSON – Freshman David Raymundo netted his first career hat-trick and five other Rangers scored a goal in a lopsided 8-0 victory at Copiah-Lincoln Wednesday afternoon.

Northwest improved to 7-3-1 overall while Co-Lin fell to 0-7.

Lance Crabtree's team-leading ninth goal of the season in the 14th minute, his fourth game-winner, broke open a scoring frenzy for the Rangers and they never looked back.

Raymundo followed with two goals in the 15th and 18th minutes and Kirill Safrin netted his first career goal in the 27th minute to make it a 4-0 Northwest lead at the half.

Cameron Casey (3), James Longmire (2), Raymundo (4) and Bryant Young (2) each added second half goals to make the final tally 8-0. Crabtree, Jesus Garcia and Robert Mims were each credited with assists.

Northwest owned a 31-9 shot advantage (20-1 on net) and owned a 7-2 corner kick edge.

Matthew Williams needed only one save to post his fourth career clean sheet. Bailey Hart totaled 12 saves.

Northwest and Co-Lin will meet again on Friday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. in Senatobia.
