SENATOBIA – For the fifth time of her Northwest career, sophomore Ashley Nelson has been selected the MACJC Goalkeeper of the Week.

Nelson totaled 16 saves and allowed only two goals in 200 minutes in a 1-1 double overtime tie against Meridian (Sept. 1) and 1-0 loss to Holmes (Sept. 4) last week. She has 18 saves through the first three matches this year and a 0.93 goals against average.

The Horn Lake product was named the MACJC Goalkeeper of the Week a league-high four times as a freshman en route to a school-record 11 shutouts.

Nelson and the Rangers (1-1-1) return to action on Wednesday at East Central.
