SENATOBIA – For the first time in her Northwest career, all-state sophomore forward Abigail Morales has been tabbed the MACJC Offensive Player of the Week.

Morales' two, second half goals helped the Lady Rangers rally for a 2-1 season-opening win at Southwest on Saturday after being rained out Friday at Co-Lin. She finished the day with five shots, four-on-goal. Her game-winner in the 86th minute marked the sixth of her career.

Her two goals gave her 17 for her career, moving her into seventh all-time at Northwest in goals scored.

Northwest will return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 2 p.m., playing host to Meridian.
