SENATOBIA – For the sixth time of her Northwest women's soccer career, sophomore Ashley Nelson has been selected the MACJC Goalkeeper of the Week.

Nelson totaled 19 saves and allowed two goals in two matches last week. She had eight saves in a 2-0 loss at Holmes and 11 in a scoreless double overtime draw against division-leading East Central, her 12th career shutout. Nelson has now posted 100 or more saves in back-to-back seasons.

The Horn Lake product was named the MACJC Goalkeeper of the Week a league-high four times as a freshman en route to a school-record 11 shutouts.

Nelson and the Lady Rangers return to action on Friday, Oct. 16 at Itawamba.
