Ranger Men Still Seeking First Division Win

Box Score SENATOBIA – Playing a fifth one-goal match this season, Northwest was on the wrong end in a 2-1 north division loss to Hinds on Tuesday afternoon.

Northwest dropped to 3-3 overall and 0-2 in the north while Hinds improved to 4-1 and 2-0.

Hinds owned a 20-17 shot advantage on the day, but the Rangers fired two more on goal. Missed opportunities was the name of the game for Northwest, with two wide open goal chances missing high and wide right.

Bryden Reed gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute, heading in a perfect cross from Ismael Moreno off one of seven Hinds corner kicks.

Northwest found the equalizer in the 35th minute when Armando Barron (2) used a great pass from Zach Farmer and buried it into the lower right corner of the net.

Hinds pulled back ahead for good in the 56th minute on Borden Wilkins' game-winner.

AJ Walker had seven saves for Hinds against four for Northwest's Josh Delgado

The Rangers return to action on Friday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. against a very solid East Central team.
