Box Score SENATOBIA – Needing a win and some help to clinch the final playoff spot in the north division, Northwest dropped a 3-1 decision to Holmes on Friday to officially eliminate the Rangers from postseason play.

Holmes improved to 8-5-1 overall and 4-3 in the north while Northwest fell to 7-8 overall and ended division play with a 3-5 mark. It was the Rangers' annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game. 

Macaulay Gibson scored his first two goals of the year in the 25th and 47th minutes, the second of which proving to be the game-winner. Jamarius Gladney scored in the 14th minute. 

The lead was 3-0 just 46 minutes into the match before Ryan Maniccia scored his second goal of the year in the 65th minute. Maniccia scored off a rebound shot from Armando Barron, who was credited with the assist. 

Josh Delgado allowed two goals with three saves in the first half while Matthew Williams had five saves and allowed one goal in the second half.

Northwest will close out the season on Friday, Oct. 24 at Mississippi Gulf Coast.
