SENATOBIA – On Monday night at halftime of the men's basketball game against Itawamba, student activities director Liesl Mote accepted a $2,500 check from the Mississippi Army National Guard that will go in the Northwest student activities fund this spring-fall.

"Their presence on campus is not only a great asset but also a remarkable educational tool for students to learn more about the military and service to their country," Mote said. "We gladly accept this check that will help fund numerous student activities during the spring and fall semester and honor their efforts and dedication to the education of our student body."

The Mississippi Army National Guard regularly attends and participates in various Ranger sporting events and a variety of student activities on campus.
