JACKSON – Sophomore defenders Fakhry Khulfan and Rosendo Barron of the Northwest Mississippi men's soccer team have been named to the 2011 MACJC All-State Team as voted upon by the league's head coaches on Tuesday.

Khulfan had a monster year for the Rangers on the offensive end while playing multiple positions, leading the team in goals (12), points (28) and shot percentage (.211). He also added four assists and four game-winners on the season.

A product of Memphis, Tenn., Khulfan was a unanimous selection to the NJCAA All-Region XXIII Team and is a strong candidate for NJCAA All-American honors that will be released late November.

Barron had another solid season for the red and blue on the defensive end, earning his second consecutive MACJC All-State selection. The Southaven native helped Northwest to four shuouts on the season, the most since 2004.

Northwest ended its season at 5-7-3 overall and 2-4-2 in the north division.
