GULFPORT – The Northwest Sports Information Department earned four awards, including three first place entries, at the 2013 College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) Annual Conference in Gulfport on Monday and Tuesday.
In the Sports Media Guide category, the 2012 Northwest football guide took top honors, while the 2012 baseball/softball guide placed third.
In the Single Piece of Artwork (Sports) category, the 2012 baseball schedule poster won first place, while the Northwest Facebook page also placed first in the New Media/Social Media category.
Overall, the Communications Office earned 18 combined awards at this year's conference, including the Grand Award in Print Media for the 2011-12 President's Annual Report.
Thanks to combined efforts from Andrew Bartolotta, Justin Ford, Matt Merritt and Brian Lentz, the Sports Info Department has racked up eight awards in the last two years at CPRAM, including five first place entries.
