SENATOBIA – A pair of Rangers inked with four-year football schools during the holiday break, with sophomore OL Cor'tez Hibbler (pictured) signing his NLI with Delta State University and sophomore DB Aaron Thompson signing with Faulkner University.
A two-time MACJC Academic All-State selection, Hibbler played in 18 games for the Rangers in two seasons and spent time on each side of the line. Hibbler tallied 12 total tackles with 3.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble as a freshman on the defensive line and helped pave the way for the nation's third-ranked offense as a sophomore on the offensive line.
Thompson earned First Team All-State honors during a breakout sophomore campaign, leading the team with seven interceptions and adding seven breakups and 36 tackles (31 solo). As a freshman, Thompson played in all nine games and had 18 total tackles in addition to five breakups and two interceptions.
The duo are the first two signees for Northwest this offseason.
