GOODMAN – Northwest freshman goalkeeper Morgan Wilson and freshman midfielder Alex Jones, both of DeSoto Central, have swept this week's MACJC Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors.

Wilson earned her fourth weekly honor from the MACJC, while Jones earned her second.

Wilson, the reigning NJCAA Goalkeeper of the Week, posted her second shutout in three matches in a 2-0 win at East Central in the regular season finale on Oct. 22. She stopped all seven shots she faced.

Jones netted her third game-winner of the year in the Lady Rangers' victory, scoring the goal in the 20th minute. She now has eight goals on the year, tied for the team lead with Holly Newman.

Northwest fell to Pearl River in the state quarterfinals to end its season 8-4-2 overall.
