GOODMAN – For the second time this season, goalkeeper Morgan Wilson of Northwest has been selected the MACJC Defensive Player of the Week for games played Monday, Sept. 23 through Sunday, Sept. 29.

Wilson, a freshman from DeSoto Central, had three saves and allowed just one goal in a 6-1 win over Southwest Mississippi to help the Lady Rangers improve to 6-2 on the season.

Wilson has been outstanding in her five matches in relief of teammate Ashlee Rogers, who went down with a season-ending injury, and has gone 4-1 with 33 saves between the posts.

Northwest will continue a season-long 7-match homestand on Tuesday against Copiah-Lincoln.
