Anthony Fernandez scored the Rangers' first three goals in the opening 31:43 to complete his hat-trick and Northwest raced past Copiah-Lincoln 6-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
Northwest increased its school-record start to 5-1-2 on the year while Co-Lin fell to 1-12.
Austin Walker got Co-Lin on the board in the 51st minute after the Rangers led 3-0 at half.
Gnande Zleh responded with goals in the 54th and 77th minutes, sandwiched between Garrett Holden's goal for the Wolfpack in the 65th minute, that made it 5-2 Rangers.
Aaron Terrazas capped the scoring in the 86th minute, sliding in for a goal on a ball played into the penalty box by Zleh and
Muhamed Bojang.
Fletcher Hall,
Christian Zelaya and A. Fernandez all added assists in the win. Fernandez finished with three goals and two assists for a career-high eight points.
Northwest outshot the Wolfpack 29-13 on the day, 20 of those shots coming in the first half.
Taylor Thevenot had seven saves in the win and allowed two goals while Jesus Roman and Wesley Varner combined for nine saves for Co-Lin.
Northwest will host Pearl River on Friday, October 4 at 4 p.m.
