Box Score FULTON – Northwest played its second double overtime match in as many dates at Itawamba on Friday and came away with a 1-1 draw.

Northwest moved to 7-3-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the north, while ICC moved to 4-9-2 overall and 1-5-2. 

Sophomore Alex Young scored her fifth goal of the season from an Emily Castoria assist to give the Lady Rangers an early 1-0 lead in the 10th minute and the lead held midway through the second half.

Itawamba and Alyssa Kelley found the equalizer in the 69th minute to make it 1-1, as the freshman netted her team-leading ninth goal of the year to eventually force overtime.

Neither team could find the golden goal and the match ended in a tie after 110 minutes.

Morgan Wilson had 10 saves between the posts in the draw while ICC's Emily Munn had five. 

Northwest has already qualified for the state playoffs for the first time since 2006, but will try to close out the regular season with a win at East Central on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
