SENATOBIA – After finishing the season ranked ninth in the final poll for the NJCAA Division II standings, the Northwest Mississippi Community College women's golf team officially punched their ticket to the National Tournament beginning on Tuesday, May 12th, from the Ol' Colony Golf Course in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
It is the second consecutive year that the Rangers have qualified an entire team for the tournament, and they are entering with high hopes as two of their regular starters this year are ranked in the top 25 in the nation.
"To make the national tournament two years in a row and to have made it both years we have had a program is huge," Head Golf Coach Adam Payne said. "The girls have worked so hard all season long and have improved so much. I couldn't be happier for them. They have done an amazing job setting the program on the right path that will keep it competitive for years to come."
Leading the way for the Rangers is Analeigh Little, who enters as the seventh-ranked golfer in the country, averaging just over 77 strokes per round this season. In nine tournaments, Little has three runner-up finishes and has never placed worse than 15th in a field this season.
Joining her as a contender on the individual side is Bella McNeil, whose top finish this season is third place at the NEMCC Women's Spring Invitational, and has finished in the top 15 five times this year in nine tournaments.
Northwest will also be bringing Madison Baker and Zae'Ja Davis as competitors in the top 100 of the national rankings, and sitting just outside of the top 100 are Sarah Niblett and Addison Forbes.
Three of those golfers are making return trips to the national championship after Baker, Davis, and Forbes were members of the team who qualified in 2025.
That year's group finished 15th after entering the field as the #16 team in the country.
