SENATOBIA – It's bowl season and there are plenty of former Rangers who are still suiting up in the college football world as action begins on Saturday, December 13th with the Celebration Bowl and runs all the way to the College Football Playoff's title game on Monday, January 19th!
Action kicks off with the Rangers representing in the Celebration Bowl for Prairie View A&M as Dylan Spencer (OL) and Cameron Pascal (OL) look to cap of the season with a win over South Carolina State at Noon on ABC.
Rod Daniels and the Kennesaw State Owls will take on Western Michigan in the Myrtle Beach Bowl on December 19th to kick off the FBS bowl season and that afternoon the CFP will open with former NWCC Rangers Tavion Prather (DL) and Macaleb Taylor (RB) facing off with former Ranger from 2000 Will Hall and his Tulane Green Wave in Oxford on TNT.
The trio of Rayyan Buell (DL), Sam Brumfield (LB), and Tanner Gillis (P/K) hope to lead the Memphis Tigers to a win when they travel to Florida for the Gasparilla Bowl against North Carolina State on the 19th as well kicking off at 2:30 pm.
Other big-name bowls later on in the season include Southern Miss taking Quinzavious Warren (DL) and Zion Edwards (LB) to the Superdome for the New Orleans Bowl on December 23rd at 5:30 pm on ESPN and on January 2nd, Mississippi State will take the stage in the Duke's Mayo Bowl against Wake Forest in Charlotte at 8:00 PM on ESPN.
In a step away from teams representing the Magnolia State, Missouri goes to Jacksonville, Forida where they face of with the ACC runner up Virginia at 7:30 PM on ABC in the Gator Bowl.
There is also one former Ranger who is still awaiting his opponent with #4 Texas Tech heading to the Orange Bowl and the second round of the CFP where they will take on the winner of James Madison and Oregon on January 1st at Noon.
In all, 18 Rangers are still representing NWCC in the NCAA DI Postseason this year.
