SENATOBIA – It's rivalry week in the FBS and the playoffs are beginning in the FCS as the calendar gets ready to swing into December next week and the college football season winds down.
While the Egg Bowl is over and the four former Rangers who were going head-to-head for #7 Ole Miss and Mississippi State are getting the day off after the Rebels punched their ticket into the college football playoff, there are still plenty more games to be played with a lot on the line!
#5 Texas Tech and Davion Carter (OL) head to West Virginia with a potential by on their hands after Texas A&M fell to Texas on Friday.
It's the opening round of the postseason for #15 Southeastern Louisiana and Kahmron Ford (DB) as they host Illinois State in the opening round of the FCS Playoffs after finishing the regular season at 9-3.
In a few other big rivalries, Arkansas and Missouri face off with Keshawn Davila (DB) and Stephen Hall (DB) looking to cap of their regular seasons with victories.
Meanwhile, five Rangers will look to spoil the hopes of #24 Tulane making the postseason as Charlotte heads to New Orleans to battle the Green Wave.
In all, a total of 44 former Northwest football student-athletes have suited up this season for FBS and FCS programs and have made their names known.
